Sunderland Carers Centre is the centre point of support for all unpaid Carers in Sunderland. Providing vital advice and support to families with caring roles.
Delivering services across the City of Sunderland area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Young Carer and Family Support Link Worker.
The applicant will be working as part of our 0-25 team, to support a wide range of opportunities for young carers (aged 5 to 25) and their families.
This role will be required to support young carers and their families on a 1:1 basis, at a statutory agency meeting’s, as well as through a wide range of group activities, opportunities, and training. The young carer activities will mainly take place on an evening and weekend term time and daytime in school holidays.
We are looking for a creative and energetic individual, with experience of working with young people/and families. The successful candidate will have great communication and organisational skills and be able to work sensitively with young people and their families of all ages.
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
