To commence as soon as possible from September 2019.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed individual to join us. The role will involve working with children, parents, carers, staff and other professionals to oversee attendance, behaviour and welfare of a year group. We offer you the opportunity to work as part of an innovative and supportive Welfare Team.

Working to the Lead Professional Attendance and Behaviour you will be responsible for a designated year group to promote their welfare, achieve high levels of attendance, good standards of behaviour and attitudes to learning.

You must have relevant experience of working with young people within secondary education or be able to offer evidence of ability to succeed in this role.

Benfield School is a truly inclusive school where we have the interest of each individual child at heart.

NEAT is highly committed to the professional development of its staff and identifying talent for the future. We also provide access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, a generous annual leave entitlement and have an accrued time policy.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is essential that all staff and volunteers share this commitment. You will need to have an enhanced criminal records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.

A completed application form and criminal records declaration form must be submitted by midday Friday 6 September 2019 by email to lilian.reeson@benfield.newcastle.sch.uk

Assessment/interviews for shortlisted candidates week commencing: 9 September 2019.
