An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Works Scheduler for the Building Services Section.

A key responsibility of this role is to operate and manage customer service requests and to maintain an effective IT help desk function within scheduling software.

The successful candidate in the role will be responsible for scheduling all jobs for suitable operatives and contractors. Ensuring all operatives have a full schedule for the day and are attended within the required response time set by the company.

You will log and action follow up repairs, be aware of KPI’s and be instrumental in achieving these, raising and processing invoices onto scheduling software to ensure contractors and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage however, full training will be given in the use of scheduling software and operational requirements.

Responsible for building and sustaining existing relationships with customers the postholder will play a key role in creating positive relationships across the service area and customer base.
