The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Welfare Manager for Academy 360 with effect from 1st January 2020.
The Trustees invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for this exciting opportunity to join the Academy Welfare Team. The Welfare Manager will work with the Head of School and the Academy’s Welfare Team in all phases of the school to drive a culture of high expectations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the personal support offered to all students, to remove social and emotional barriers to learning and to ensure their personal, social and emotional development in order to maximise standards of achievement and attainment in all aspects of school life. This will include support for students of all abilities including those with Special Educational Needs as well as those who are gifted and talented.
Academy 360 is a rapidly improving secondary school in Sunderland at the heart of its local community. The Academy has recently joined Laidlaw School Trust (LST), The Laidlaw Schools Trust is a growing family of six schools helping transform thousands of young lives in North East England. LST invests significantly in the training and development of all staff and is able to offer all staff a wide range of opportunities and benefits.
The successful candidate will join a successful MAT where all Academies support each other to the benefit of our pupils and their families. Our Academies also enjoy strong support from an experienced LST central team, based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
