We are seeking a keen, motivated and committed individual tomanage a range of technical data systems in the Energy Services Team withinCouncil Housing, Design and Technical Services.

The Energy Services Team is responsible for energy andsustainability issues in Gateshead, managing the Council's energy use andcarbon emissions, and delivering energy and sustainability projects in thewider community. You will join the team at an exciting time as the award-winningTown Centre District Energy Scheme continues to be extended and the ERDFHEIGHT's projects completes. The postwill support the ongoing operation of existing energy schemes, the GatesheadEnergy Company and the development of new energy initiatives. To help the teamdeliver its services, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety oftechnical duties including updating data management systems for Council energyuse and domestic energy efficiency, preparing building floor plans, as well asproviding support to the delivery energy and environment projects, within theCouncil and in the community.

You will need to have 5 GCSE's at grade 4 or grade C orabove including maths and English, have knowledgeof data management systems or energy/building /property management systems, experienceof using GIS/CAD software systems to produce plans and maps, be computerliterate in use of databases and spreadsheets (MS office), be able to work todeadlines, both under your own initiative, and as part of a team, with goodorganisational and excellent customer service skills.
