An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care for a permanent Team Manager within the South Social Work Locality Team based in Eddie Ferguson House.  

As Team Manager you will have access to excellent and regular formal and informal supervision, annual appraisals, support and guidance to promote your personal and professional development. 

Main duties of the role 

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day to day management, quality and performance of the team.  The job encompasses managing staff workload and the workflows, supervision and appraisal of team members with significant areas of work including safeguarding adults and supporting with complex casework. They will also be responsible for managing delegated health and social care budgets and managing a team staff who are working with adult service users with learning disabilities and physical disability or illness. 

Essential Criteria 

Relevant Social Work degree or equivalent social work qualification 

Significant whole time equivalent post qualifying experience including experience at a senior level 

Documented evidence of continuing professional development 

Hold Professional Registration  


To work autonomously within the South Locality  with a team who support a specific user group with highly complex needs to provide a social care service which includes undertaking statutory duties, delivering care management, providing or arranging for therapeutic services. The salary for this role is £42821 - 46845
