An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care for a Team Manager to be appointed. The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership and operational management to an established Social Work Team in Adult Social Care.
The successful candidate will assist the Strategic Manager to provide leadership, direction and professional oversight on all issues relating to Adult Social Care. You will be part of a supportive and skilled group of Team Managers who provide day-to-day management and support to our frontline social work teams.
You will be highly motivated and have relevant knowledge and experience in working with Adults, including legislation, practice and procedures.
You will possess a working knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements, as well as an ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with relevant key partners such as Health and social care partners, Police and Housing, amongst others.
You will have excellent communication skills and be familiar with Performance Management and analysis as well as team planning and evaluation activities. You will be highly skilled in providing supervision and appraisal to individuals and teams and you will have working experience of promoting strengths-based practice.
You will have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the Safeguarding Adults agenda and will be highly skilled in Risk Management.
You must hold a Social Work qualification or equivalent i.e. MA or BA in Social Work, Dip SW CQSW or CSS. You must also have a current registration with Social Work England.
You may have previous experience of leadership and management, but this is not imperative; a willingness to undertake relevant training and a commitment to continuous professional development is essential.
This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service
