“The school is a ‘learning family’ where all staff are good role models” (Ofsted)

Grangetown is a vibrant, friendly and welcoming learning community. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to provide support for children and teachers.

This post is a maternity cover, from 1st September 2020 until Friday 30th April 2021.

Pay scale: Grade 2 points 5-6 (£18795 -£19171). Term time only (39 weeks - pro rata to weeks & hours worked).

Hours: Autumn Term, 32.5 hours, mornings in KS1 and afternoons in KS2 (daily 8.30-3.30). Spring Term & part of Summer Term, 25 hours in KS1 (8.30-12.00, 1 day 8.30-4.00, 1 day 8.30-4.30). The extra hours in Autumn Term are because we are receiving additional funding to support a Key Stage 2 pupil, for that term only.

The successful candidate should:

• Be proficient in supporting all aspects of teaching and learning
• Be an effective communicator and keen to work in collaboration with colleagues

In return we will offer you:
