First Class Supply are currently experiencing very high demand for Teaching Assistants to work within schools around the Durham area. A range of daily and longer term opportunities are available, with a number of schools looking to develop a supply of regular, local staff for additional support. You will need to quickly establish good working relationships within the teams of various schools.
Roles are available for a range of full and part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle. For those interested in longer term positions, we will be happy to discuss potential roles. This is also an excellent opportunity if you are seeking permanent employment as introductions to new schools often leads to future positions.
To apply for this role you must:
be able to use your initiative to work independently within the class, in addition to 1-1 and small group work
be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
have recently qualified or have experience in a teaching assistant role, which has given you an up to date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 2 or above.
