We are looking to appoint two highly motivated and experienced Teachers of the Deaf, to provide specialist support for children with hearing needs to achieve the best educational outcomes and independence. It is anticipated that you will join the team of teachers and support staff in the well established and successful Hearing Impairment Service.

We are ideally looking for candidates with the mandatory qualification as a Teacher of the Deaf. We are also willing to consider applications from qualified teachers with recent experience of working with deaf children and who are willing to undertake the mandatory training.

The roles will initially be based in our Primary Hearing Impairment Additionally Resourced Centres (HI-ARCs) which are situated at Broadwood Primary School and Benton Park Primary School. These posts offer an exciting opportunity for successful, enthusiastic Teachers of the Deaf willing to work across a range of age groups and abilities.

The successful candidates should understand however, that they may be required to work in any of our HI resourced provisions or as part of the peripatetic team in the future.
