Required as soon as possible.

A highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced qualified Teacher of the Deaf is required to provide specialist support for deaf and hearing impaired children and young people, their parents/carers, schools/settings. It is anticipated that you will join the team of teachers and support staff in the well
established and successful Hearing Impairment Service. The role will be based in the Hearing Impairment Additionally Resourced Centre (HI-ARCs) at Broadwood Primary School.

Ideally the successful candidate will have:-
• specialist mandatory qualification in teaching deaf children (QToD).
• an innovative, creative and effective approach to teaching.
• excellent communication skills with at least BSL Level 2.
• recent experience of working in a variety of educational settings, with a range of children & young people with SEN.
• the ability to work with parents, other colleagues and relevant professionals.
• flexible with a commitment to working as part of a team to deliver a positive learning experience to children across the City.
