We are seeking to recruit Waking Night Support Workers (Grade 2 ) into our assessment and reablement service at Villette Lodge which supports customers who have a diagnosed learning disability or mental health condition, this service supports customers who are either in a crisis situation or people who require an assessment to determine the level of support they require for their future living requirements.

As a Support Worker (Waking Nights), your role will be to provide care and support to customers throughout the night in accordance with standards and legislation. In addition, you will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that are designed to provide meaningful choice and support to those in need of care, so they can access services to help them lead the life they want.

We are looking for individuals who have the ability to work unsupervised, be proactive in their approach and be confident in their ability to use own initiative, with the ability to demonstrate that the care being provided to our customers overnight maintains their safety and wellbeing. Successful candidates will be supported in their role through induction, probation, supervision and appraisal as well as working jointly with other professionals to ensure customers receive support which is designed to meet their own personal need.

Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate decision making abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required within this role.

The new Government Regulations, that require all persons working in or entering Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated care homes to be fully vaccinated, apply to this role. The successful post holder will be required to provide evidence they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless medically exempt) as a condition of employment.

The successful post holder will be required to work a designated rota pattern including weekends and banks holidays.
