Our Supported Living Services.....

Sunderland Care and Support work alongside customers who possess a diverse range of complex needs and characteristics to enable them to engage within the community, develop skills and enhance their quality of life.

Our supported living services require dynamic motivated support workers with the ability to work in challenging environments. Support Workers will be motivated to engage customers in line with positive behavioural support to enable a positive outcome for people we support.

Within our supported living services, we provide care and support in a range of services for customers with a Learning Disability, Autism, Behaviour that Challenges or Mental Health needs.

We currently require support workers within our complex services at:

• Meadow Rise
• Tavistock Square
• Middleton House
• Serlby Close
• Thornhill Gardens
• Claremont Terrace
• Cleveland Road

As a Support Worker you will be working as part of a team, providing and promoting person-centred care and support, enabling individuals to make choices and have control over their daily lives.

• A starting salary of £18,065 rising to £19,171 (pro rata)

We have an number of positions available and are looking to recruit into both full-time (37) and part-time hours (32 & 18.5).

Meet the Team.....

We are holding an opening day on Wednesday 10th July from 2.30pm until 5.30pm at Leechmere Centre, Carrmere Road, Sunderland, SR2 9TQ. This will give you an opportunity to come and meet some of our staff from these services and speak with them directly about what inspires them to work as a Support Worker. They will be on hand to explain not only what challenges they face but how rewarding a career working for Sunderland Care and Support can be.
