Sunderland SEND Information Advice and Support Service (IASS) is a statutory service supporting children, young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.

Sunderland SEND Information Advice and Support Service provides confidential information advice and support through a range of services.

Sunderland SEND Information Advice and Support Service is hosted by Sunderland Carers Centre and the services provided are confidential and impartial.

Delivering a statutory service across the City of Sunderland area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a SENDIASS Lead (Children & Young People)

Reporting to the SENDIASS service manager, the SENDIASS Lead (Children & Young Person) will work on an individual basis for this vital service, working with the rest of the team to deliver impartial SEND information, advice, and support.

With an emphasis on delivering services to children, young people, and their families – the successful applicant will be able to communicate accurately, confidently and effectively with parents and carers of children who have a wide range of special education needs and disabilities in an objective and non-judgemental manner.

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
