An exciting opportunity have arisen within our Public Protection and Employment Team.

A qualified solicitor is required to join the Council’s Law and Governance Team in order to provide advice and support to the Council and external clients in relation to a broad and varied caseload.

The current post-holder undertakes licensing, prosecutions and education legal work. However, arrangements in relation to the areas of practice and caseload of the successful candidate will depend upon their legal background to date. In that connection, experience of dealing with any one or more of the following areas is desirable:- anti-social behaviour; education, including special educational needs; environmental protection; housing and housing standards; licensing; prosecutions; public health and trading standards.
