Further information

Adult Community Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a social worker to work within our well-established adult community teams, which deliver services to achieve the best outcomes for adults and older people who have care and support needs.

It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authorities statutory duties and are a dynamic, innovative and committed person, willing to consider all possible options, working with external stakeholders, service users and their families, as well as colleagues within local authority.

Ideally, you will have post qualifying experience in adult social care.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

If you would like any further information or would like to discuss this opportunity, please contact Hannah Jolly on 0191 2788352.

Apply online at www.northeastjobs.org.uk.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
