Post title: Sessional Lecturers – casual

Salary: £25,215 Associate Teacher Point 5 (pro-rata to hours worked if applicable)

Job Location: An approved Durham County Council location. However, you may be required to work at any council workplace and a range of other venues within County Durham

The Adult Learning and Skills Service are looking to recruit Sessional Lecturers with significant teaching experience within the post 16 and 19+ adult learning sector who can offer one or more of the following subjects:

ICT Functional Skills
Basic Digital Skills Training
Introductory level Computer Science (Incl. basic coding)
Web Design

The ability to teach up to Level 3 in ICT programmes would be desirable

We are also looking for sessional lecturers in:

English
Maths
ESOL

Successful candidates will work closely with the Service Programme Lead and will be responsible for the planning and development of high quality courses and carrying out teaching and learning activities across the County. This will include preparation of individual learning plans, schemes of work, lesson plans and associated learning resources.

Required qualifications:
Level 4 teaching qualification
L3 Subject specific qualification in the field to be taught
L2 qualification in Maths & English
