As Service Manager (Housing and Neighbourhood Services), you will be responsible for leading the delivery of the following services:

Maintaining and improving neighbourhoods including tenancy and estate management services

Older Persons Housing Services

Multi Storey Management and Handyperson Services

Regeneration projects

You will play an important role in shaping service delivery and your work will support the Councils aims and objectives for the wider housing service. Key to your role will be an ability to support service reviews and lead the delivery of tenancy and estate management activity. You will be responsible for managing a diverse team providing frontline housing and estate management services to over 18000 council homes. Importantly you will demonstrate a commitment to developing and shaping services with involvement of customers, employees, and partners.
You will have knowledge of the Social Housing Sector and experience of supporting governance, embedding policies, and working in a regulated and highly customer focused environment. You will also have previous experience of working as part of a senior team, delivering work programmes and projects.
To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, an ability to work in partnership at a senior level and support teams through times of change. Importantly you will need to demonstrate a commitment to achieving the Council’s Thrive ambitions.
You will hold a relevant professional qualification, degree or management equivalent, or can demonstrate substantial relevant experience at a management level.
