We are looking at recruiting a Senior Resource Worker which will undertake a range of tasks associated with supporting children with disabilities including children with emotional and challenging behaviour.

The duties will include:

Undertaking the role of shift leader and the administering of medication.

Take responsibility for additional tasks including the supervision and appraisal of staff.

Writing of care plans and attend various meeting for the children and young people.

The successful applicant will be based at Gleneagles Resource Centre, which provides a short break service for children and young people with a disability.

Applicants must have:

NVQ 3/QCF 3 or equivalent in Care (including HSC375 Medication Unit).

Be enthusiastic, fast thinking and be able to work both on their own and as part of a team.

Have 1 year experience of working with children with disabilities, and of working with people from other agencies.

Experience of supervision of staff

You will also be required to work unsocial hours as most work is carried out during the early mornings, evenings, nights and sleep ins, weekends, and throughout school holidays and Bank holidays.
