We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Library & Information Assistant in the Stockton Public Health Information Library, reporting to the Health & Wellbeing Librarian. This role is responsible for maintaining access to an up-to-date and accurate public health information resource, delivering a specialised support service to health professionals and health organisations.
We are looking for somebody who has a commitment to delivering a quality service to join our team. Experience of working in a library is essential, as is a knowledge of public health priorities and key campaigns. You will use this knowledge in the selection of stock and resources for the library. You will need to have good IT skills as you will manage and develop the HPAC online catalogue. Excellent communications skills are also essential for liaising with Public Health teams and interacting with customers on a daily basis.
As well as undertaking day-to-day duties such as dealing with item requests and ordering of materials, you will be responsible for promoting the Public Health Information Library to relevant departments, organisations and networks. You will provide guidance on suitable health promotion resources for specific topic areas and keep abreast of new developments in health information as appropriate.

This is an 30 hour post for a fixed term, ending 31.3.23. Stockton Public Health Information Library is based within Roseworth Library at the Redhill Family Hub in Roseworth.

Please ensure you refer to the Job Description and the essential and desirable criteria in the Person Specification when completing the Personal Statement on the application form, as this information is used to select candidates for interview.
