An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Gateshead School Sport Partnership (GSSP) Team. The GSSP are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join their established team, to help with the co-ordination and delivery of a range of school focused services, events and projects.

GSSP are seeking to recruit a new full-time Development Assistant to the team. This is a fixed term post until 31st August 2022 and could be extended dependent on funding. The role is interesting and diverse, providing the opportunity to work in a range of fields. This extends to include physical education & school Sport, physical activity, the School Games, health & wellbeing, event management and facility management.

You will be a motivated and innovative team player with a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and you will have experience of co-ordination and delivery of sports events and competitions with a proven track record of team working to achieve targets.

You will have experience of leading and co-ordinating groups of people and working with schools and young people.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work effectively on a range of projects at one time. You will also have good interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively, problem-solve and reflect and self-improve proactively.

You will be reliable, dedicated and hardworking and will have experience of time management and be able to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office applications.

You will need to be able to meet the transport requirements of the post and be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.

You must have a current driving licence and access to a car or means to mobility support.
