SEND Monitoring Coordinator- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Grade F

An opportunity has arisen within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service. The Team are currently based at the Civic Centre but will be moving to the Dryden Centre in the near future.

The SEND Service supports the assessment, monitoring and review of children with special educational needs and disabilities.

You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support on the financial, monitoring and Education, Health and Care Plan processes including offering appropriate support, training and guidance to parents, schools and other professionals. You will contribute to the efficient use of budgets by maintaining accurate budget monitoring systems and also contribute to the calculation of school funding from the High Needs Block. This will also include offering support to school staff in provision mapping. You will also attend Education, Health and Care Plan Annual Review/ Action Planning meetings as a representative of the SEND Service, where appropriate and support SEND case officers by amending Education, Health and Care Plans.

You should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English at Grade 4 or grade C or above or equivalent. You will have excellent IT skills to use a range of Microsoft Office software, and a good working knowledge of financial based systems together with excellent communication skills. You need the ability to organise your workload, prioritise competing demands and work to deadlines. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, have the ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external clients and to collate data.

It is essential that you have knowledge of financial processes and practice including extensive use of appropriate financial software and spreadsheets
