Our Children’s Homes Service
NCC operates 5 children’s homes including a national secure children centre with education. Overall, the service employs approximately 200 care staff and 30 support services staff across the 5 sites. Our Homes accommodate 25 young people aged 6 - 17, our main aim is to offer an exceptional family focussed caring environment where children and young people can feel safe and thrive in order to meet their full potential.
The service is inspected by Ofsted on a yearly basis. Currently our homes are rated as Outstanding or Good. It is crucial that everyone in our team is committed and motivated to meeting the needs of our young people, and have high aspirations for each and every young person we live and work with.
If you are that person, we would welcome an application to our post vacancy for a Residential Support Worker at Coanwood Children’s Home in Cramlington.
The Role
This role requires you to work to a shift pattern which includes night shifts.
You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training. You will be supported to complete the Diploma Level 3 in Residential Child Care, which is a requirement of the job role.
You will work under the direction of the team leader or shift coordinator to ensure quality, safe and effective care of each young person.

- A starting salary of £20,092 up to £21,748. This figure excludes our single premium rate (SPR) payment which enhance your salary for unsociable hours and weekend working
