Sport and leisure would like to recruit a Swimming Instructor, based at Waves, to deliver North Tyneside Councils school swimming provision and Learn to Swim Programme.

The main duties are to deliver swimming instruction in accordance with the facilities Learn to Swim and school programme, inline with ASA standards and industry best practice. This will include promoting a positive image of NTC, encouraging participation, recording and maintaining registers and attending meetings and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills, provide an efficient, friendly service and be able to work as part of a team. Candidates must posses a level 2 swimming teacher’s qualification.

This post is permanent, 26.5 hours per week, term time only over 195 days. You would be required to work the following hours each week:

Tuesday 4pm - 8pm, Wednesday 11.00am - 6.45pm, Thursday 11.15am - 6.45pm, Friday 1pm - 6.45pm, Saturday 8.15am - 11.15am.
