An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Business Partner (PBP) to join County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS). We consider ourselves to be a professional, high performing, inclusive and innovative organisation which is well regarded by the communities we serve and the partner organisations with whom we collaborate.
In this role, you will be a true partner to multiple functions within the business, developing and owning a people plan to support their strategy, whilst also supporting the broader People Strategy. You will work alongside the other BPs to drive consistency and innovation; and will work closely with our people operations team to deliver a great service to our teams.
As PBP you will play a huge role in creating an inspiring culture for our colleagues, driving engagement and high performance as well as developing our processes talent, succession and resource planning
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent working knowledge of employment legislation and will have the ability to influence others and challenge with confidence. Have a proven track record particularly around employee relations, change management, developing organisational culture as well as delivering successful OD projects. You will be data driven with a strength in using people analytics to identify trends to inform and influence decision making.

This is a field-based role and will require the postholder to travel within their geographical region with travel to headquarters and any other locations to attend meetings when required.

In return the post offers 26 days annual leave rising to 31 days after 5 years, flexible working hours, provision of uniform, sports facilities, car parking and a pension scheme. We are recruiting for 1 full time post and 1 part time (job share).
