A temporary opportunity is available until 31st January 2022 at 18.75 hpw, based at Spennymoor Library as follows:

Week 1:
Monday: 9-7.15
Tuesday: 1.15-5.15
Friday: 1-5.15
Saturday: 9.15-12.45

Week 2:
Monday: 9-7.15
Tuesday: 1.15-5.15
Friday: 1-5.15

Reporting to the Library Operations Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day operations in providing a high quality service to customers, that is safe, efficient and enjoyed by users.

Leading a team that is motivated, positive, customer focussed and that implements a “can do” culture, you will organise suitable, effective and efficient staffing rotas and operations to meet the business needs, programme requirements and budget provision.

Actively assisting the venue in the continuous improvement and development of performance and quality, you will deputise for the Operations Officer in their absence.

Required Qualifications:
• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in relevant discipline

Significant experience of working in a cultural environment and of supervising employees, along with good health & safety experience is essential.

You must have good communication skills, knowledge of the Culture & Sport industry, be a motivator and be highly organised.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the posts.
