Liaison Teacher for Communication and Interaction

MPS/UPS + TLR (2b) + 1 SEN

We are seeking to appoint a Liaison Teacher to join our High Incidence Needs Team.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to provide specialist advice, guidance, training and development opportunities to improve outcomes for children and young people
with communication and interaction difficulties.

You will have knowledge of current National SEND policy and practice and the requirements for Safeguarding and Child Protection.

You will have at least three years teaching experience which includes teaching pupils with communication and interaction difficulties. You will also have Qualified Teacher Status and a current driving licence and access to a car or means to mobility support.

Experience of multi-agency working practices, working across the curriculum for all phases from Early Years to Post 16 and providing advice and training to schools or other settings would be an advantage. It is also preferable that you have a degree (or an equivalent qualification) and hold a further qualification in SEND.
