Together for Children delivers children’s services on behalf of Sunderland City Council and works to develop modern and responsive services that make a difference for children and families in Sunderland.

Our Children’s Services Legal Team are looking for a Legal Team Manager to be part of a growing team in Sunderland.

As Legal Team Manager, your role will be to build and manage the delivery of a high quality legal function for children’s services in the city. To be successful you will need to be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (with litigation advocacy rights) with at least 5 years post qualifying experience and have worked at a senior level within management. You will need to demonstrate key skills in building teams, partnership working and be able to hit the ground running, leading and motivating the team. The role will be wide-ranging, challenging and complex so you will also need to be resilient, tenacious and thrive in a fast paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ambitious and wants to support the Team and Together for Children as a whole on its improvement journey.
