Together for Children delivers children’s services on behalf of Sunderland City Council and works to develop modern and responsive services that make a difference for children and families in Sunderland.

Our Children’s Services Legal Team are looking for a paralegal or legal assistant to be part of a growing team in Sunderland.

As part of our Team of Legal Assistants, you will play a key role in delivering professional support to our solicitors working within the child care practice arena. To be successful you will need to have experience in being able to draft a variety of documents as well as taking instructions, responding to queries and being the first point of contact on the cases you will support. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate effective time management and organisation skills, resilience, tenacity and thrive in a fast paced environment. The role will be wide-ranging, challenging and complex with no day being the same as the last. A minimum Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice is required.
