Part Time, 29.6 hours per week, Permanent, £27,206.59 - £35,476.27 per annum, pro rata.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic lecturer who is passionate about Art & Design, to work within the department of Creative Arts.
We would like to further strengthen our team with a highly creative and skilled Art specialist; who must be strong in the practice of 3D, printmaking, painting and drawing, digital, a flair for teaching interior design would be desirable and knowledge of both BTEC and HND programmes. Alongside this the candidate must be proficient in using digital element of design including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The successful candidate will support the college with their strategic goal of using creative arts collaboratively across faculties.
This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in our state of the art ‘Arts Academy’, at the Bede Campus and be a part of a successful team, supporting outstanding achievement across the Performance provision; from BTEC level 2 and 3 and HND.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with relevant vocational competence and be able to ensure quality, have high expectations, enthuse and inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes and prepare students for a career in the performing arts industry.
Applicants will have a Degree in Art or a related course to the visual arts. Applicants must have relevant experience and could be new to teaching or have a proven track record in education. Applicants should hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one. The applicant will assist the department to ensure students work towards their full study programme.
