We have a unique opportunity for an experienced individual with Legal and Adult Social Care experience and knowledge at a Management level.

The Team Manager postholder will have statutory duties and requirements under the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), and the Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS) and will work across the Council and partners to ensure that the MCA/LPS agenda is embedded within all appropriate policies, services and functions in accordance with legislative change.

You will possess a working knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements, as well as an ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with relevant key partners such as Clinical Commissioning Group, Foundations Trusts, Mental Health Services, other Social care partners etc.

You will have excellent communication skills and be familiar with Performance Management and analysis as well as team planning and evaluation activities. You will be highly skilled in providing supervision and appraisal to individuals and the team and you will be able to demonstrate you have experience of developing and setting best practice standards and service delivery relating to the MCA and associated legislation..

You will have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the Safeguarding Adults agenda and will be highly skilled in Risk Management.

You must hold a qualifying law degree, followed by the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or its equivalent.
