An opportunity has arisen within our intervention team at Hexham Middle School. Maybe you are you a highly committed and passionate teacher who wishes to take on a support role working with smaller groups of children for a more targeted learning approach. A full job description can be found on our website at www.hexhammiddle.co.uk however, the role will include the following responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the appropriate subject curriculum leader, help plan and lead intervention sessions for Y5 and Y7, and possibly year Y8.
• Regularly and effectively communicate with classroom teachers to provide feedback on student progress.
• With the support of the appropriate curriculum leader, plan a timetable which will incorporate suitable intervention sessions for key groups of students.
• Work with our current Learning Support Assistants to ensure intervention session are targeting needs effectively.

This role is offered on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2020 and the hours of work are flexible but we anticipate that the successful candidate would work 16.5 hours over three days. The pay rate for this position is £10.14 per hour.
