The Welfare Reform has created significant challenges for both customers and housing providers. YHN's Income Collection Team exceeded its targets for rent collection and sustaining tenancies in 2018/19 but the bar has been raised again. The teams need to respond with innovation, forward thinking and a continued determination to succeed during a further period of change.

2 x Permanent, 37 hours per week
1 x Fixed term for 12 months, 37 hours per week
1 x Permanent, 18.5 hours per week

The Role: We are looking for an Income Collection Officer who will support the co-ordination and delivery of income collection and recovery services, including estate-based activity within an area of the city to recover debt in line with YHN's recovery process and other policies and procedures.

The Person: You will manage a portfolio of arrears cases throughout the escalation process to meet corporate and service performance targets and standards, whilst ensuring the provision of an accessible and responsive income management service to YHN customers.

Income Collection Officers are required to support tenants, residents and other YHN staff to provide advice and guidance in the recovery process, including the receipt of payments using appropriate technology, identifying priority debts and arranging repayment plans.
