This post is based at the centre of the council in the Resources Directorate which has key responsibility for managing the council’s money and people, as well as ensuring that democratic decisions are well informed and legally sound.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Transactional Clerk to join the Human Resources team. If you enjoy working in a busy team, working to deadlines and have a desire to help employees and applicants in relation to recruitment, payroll and employee life-cycle administrative tasks, then this could be the role for you.

You must therefore have:
- Experience of HR transactional/payroll/administrative processes,
- The ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines,
- Be organised and efficient,
- Experience of dealing with clients/internal customers,
- Excellent IT and good oral and written communication skills,
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
