Darlington is one of the smallest unitary authorities but always has high ambitions and this role gives the postholder a voice to influence and shape the development of the organisation’s workforce which is our biggest asset.

A key aspect of this role is employee engagement and supporting the Leadership team to create an engaged culture where we are all “Working Together to Deliver Success” which is the strapline for our new Workforce Strategy. You will have experience in the management and delivery of Organisational Development services such as training and development, policy & strategy, data collection, management and analysis, job evaluation …

An ability to plan, structure and prioritise work and projects for yourself and others to achieve aims and objectives within deadlines is essential.

You will be empowered and challenged to do your role effectively and valued by supportive managers and colleagues who treat each other with respect.

Your reward for working at the Council goes beyond the salary you receive. In addition to pay, we are committed to offering a wide range of benefits. Such as:

• Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme with option to make Additional Voluntary Contributions
