We are seeking to appoint an HR Director to join our Head Office Team to start as soon as possible from 1st October 2019. The main place of work will be at WISE Academies Head Office however the post holder must be able to travel to all of the Trust’s academies and be prepared to work flexibly according to the needs of the business.

WISE Academies is currently developing a Trust-wide HR strategy to underpin the Trust’s strategic direction. This role provides an exciting opportunity to take the operational lead across the core HR function and help shape and drive the Trust’s approach to HR. You will therefore need to have effective leadership skills to manage the development and implementation of the WISE HR strategy and to review and enhance the current HR processes, policies and performance indicators and implement changes to fit in line with the Trust’s targets. This agenda needs to be met at a time that the Trust continues to grow and develop.

As a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) you will have a substantial track record, preferably within the education field of successfully developing and implementing HR strategies and practices with a focus on solutions development. You will have strong interpersonal skill along with the ability to manage your time effectively across a significant portfolio of work.

The HR Director will work closely with the Executive team, Headteachers and Trustees to implement and lead on strategic people plans whilst transforming the HR team to deliver an exceptional customer focused HR service to all the Academies. You will lead on the provision of a forward thinking, responsive and progressive HR service in addition to ensuring all Trusts are compliant with policies, procedures, best practice and can drive a forward-thinking school improvement agenda.

It is imperative that you are a self-starter with a high level of organisation skills and attention to detail, who can lead on complex HR matters with the support of the core HR team and outsourced legal support, can produce and analyse key workforce information and who can remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
