Period: a.s.a.p. to 22nd July 2022 (Fixed Term with the possibility of becoming permanent, Term Time Only)
Hours of work: 8.30am TO 3.30 pm - Monday to Friday (32.5 hrs per week)

Eppleton Academy Primary is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the academy. Eppleton Academy Primary is a vibrant, creative and forward-looking academy keen to employ an outstanding, enthusiastic and experienced HLTA, to support our curriculum.

We are looking for an experienced candidate who has a genuine interest in working with children; are interested in their development and learning and have good organisational and communication skills. We ask that all staff working with our children hold qualifications in English and mathematics that are at least equivalent to GCSE grade ‘C’. Qualification as Level 4 HLTA or above is essential.

Duties will include:
- The planning and delivery of high-quality interventions for individuals and small groups of targeted pupils with the focus on accelerating progress.
- Working as part of a team to raise standards of achievement across the school.
- Providing teaching cover for whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present, e.g. known and unknown teacher absence.
- Assisting children to be successful through supporting excellent attitudes towards learning and behaviour.
- Provide support for SEND pupils as required.
- The administering of first aid and medications as required.
- Ensure children are happy and safe at playtimes and lunchtimes.
