Together for Children Sunderland Limited, is a dynamic company that works on behalf of the City Council to deliver children’s services including social care, early help and education.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Finance Service of the Company which will offer the right candidate the chance to expand their current knowledge and experience within a busy Finance Team and learn all aspects of this exciting child-centred organisation.

The post will be responsible to the Director of Finance and the successful candidate will provide a varied range of management accounting and transformation project support.

The postholder will be a key member of a number of project teams and will proactively provide financial information, modelling, research and general advice and will also assist budget holders with budget planning, preparation and management. The postholder will also support the timely completion of final accounts, government returns and grant claims.

Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, experience of working to strict deadlines and a commitment to improving standards, both personal and corporate, through continuous improvement and development.

Candidates should ideally be CCAB fully qualified accountants, or AAT qualified with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with experience of successfully providing a wide range of accounting services in a busy environment.

It is currently anticipated that job interviews for this position will be held week commencing 26 August 2019 (at the earliest).
