Post title: Family Information Service and Children’s Network Officer – permanent – full time

Salary: £21,748 - £24, 491 Grade 6

Job Location: County Hall, Durham, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

Applications are invited for this permanent position.

We are looking to appoint a Family Information Service & Children’s Network Officer to co-ordinate an effective service in respect of the Family Information Service and the Children’s Network as well as providing system user support in relation to other CYPS systems.

It is essential they have good communication skills, are able to use their initiative to support the public and colleagues with enquiries and information requests, and also ensure accuracy of the information provided.

Listed below are some of the duties this role will be primarily responsible for -

• Support the FIS and Children’s Network databases and website through the development of the structure and content of records.
• Supporting audits to maintain the accuracy of the information held.
• Develop and run reports to support the performance of the database, website and the service.
• Ensure the information on the databases and website is written in plain English, is of a quality standard and is in accordance with the DCC ‘writing for the web’ principles.
• Co-ordinate an effective FIS by ensuring all necessary tasks are undertaken within timescales such as processing Ofsted information; updating events, news and service provider information; answering telephone calls and emails.
• Contribute to building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and service providers through meetings, attendance at events, email, telephone and postal communications.

Required qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
