If you share the ethos of Redcar and Cleveland’s Children and Families Directorate, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

This is a fixed term post for 1 year based in Education Services within the busy Inclusion Team working primarily with children who are electively home educated. You will work closely with senior staff in schools, services and partner organisations supporting the development and organisation of procedures and policies in relation to school exclusion, Children Missing in Education and Electively Home Educated pupils in accordance with legislation, national guidance and local policy.

The successful applicant will have highly developed communication skills and have had experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families. In addition, you will have the skills and experience to demonstrate good problem solving skills, along with a passion for multi-agency working and being able to act as an advocate as and when necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to be able to successfully negotiate with a variety of people as well as the ability to plan and organise workload effectively.
