Chester-le- Street CE Primary School are opening a brand NEW Nursery and 2 year old provision.

We are a GOOD School, Ofsted September 2021
We are looking for an excellent EYFS practitioner to join our team.
You will work in the new Nursery alongside our experienced Class Teacher. You will have a passion for Early Years education as well as behaviour and inclusivity.

A knowledge of the THRIVE approach and a commitment to complete the THRIVE training is essential.
NNEB, BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA or NVQ Level 3 Certificate is essential with a thorough understanding of EYFS.
Relevant experience of working in an EYFS setting (minimum 5 years) is essential.
We are looking for a passionate, caring, enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate their commitment of being with children and helping them achieve to the best of their abilities.

You will be working for a school that values individuals and supports personal development and which fully embraces team working and the value of a strong team ethos.
Visits to the School are highly recommended.

Calculation of term time only pay

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
• Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus
• Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
• Individual leave entitlement - 5.2 weeks (26 days) or 6.2 weeks (31 days)
• Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service.
Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 26 days annual leave.
Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive
31 days annual leave.
For example:

Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service:
40 weeks (term time plus 2) + 26 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46.8 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service:
40 weeks (term time plus 2) + 31 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 47.8 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
