The role
An opportunity has arisen with Northumberland County Councils Repairs and Maintenance team for a suitably qualified and experienced electrician. We are looking for someone with a positive “can do “ attitude , a desire to do a good job and understanding of the relevant electrical regulations and good working practices in domestic housing.
The post holder will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical related tasks , including electrical maintenance on all residential housing stock, electrical testing, fault finding and rectification The post holder must hold a current 18th edition electrician qualification. as a minimum requirement although extra training in this trade area and other supportive training can be provided to equip the post holder with the necessary skill sets to allow them to assist the council to provide consistently high level of service to its tenants and stake holders

If successful, you will be part of a dedicated, multi disciplined team , delivering excellent customer focused service s across our housing portfolio. You will take pride in making a positive difference to customers and maintaining our homes to the highest standard by embracing and working to the Councils service plans and commitment to the people of Northumberland. Outside of the standard working week, we do operate an out of hours emergency service and the post holder will be expected to join the rota, for which a payment is made
The successful applicant will have a full driving licence and relevant qualifications.
