Further information

Working with Lesley and her team, we are looking to recruit a new Early Help Family Worker to support families with children and young people 0-19 within Northumberland's Supporting Families framework. Ideal candidates are passionate, hard working and dedicated to helping improve the lives of children and their families. Salary is £24313 per annum, 37 hours a week worked agilely and flexibly.  Base for mileage and office facilities is Dene Park House, Hexham with travel expected to families anywhere within the West Locality and occasionally beyond. As you would expect, we are looking for self motivated and responsible applicants with good communication skills.

You will enjoy working as part of a team, but also be able to use your own initiative and work independently to manage your commitments. You will need to be competent in delivering training/programmes, completing assessments, working with individual family members and supporting them together; also able to work effectively alongside our partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families. A minimum of Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent is essential, as is a good depth of understanding and knowledge of child/young person development.  You need to show knowledge and experience of the Early Help Assessment process and be able to demonstrate an ability to chair TAF meetings. We provide a full induction programme to our supportive and nurturing team approach.  We encourage and value your personal and professional development and you will be joining an enthusiastic, welcoming and committed team who are keen for you to succeed.

As we are committed to keeping children and young people safe, we will apply for full DBS checks. https://www.northumberland.gov.uk//getmedia/1c92f422-07c5-4080-a16a-7d13126446c3/Leadership-Pledge-Flier.aspx https://www.northumberland.gov.uk//getmedia/19ed3680-fda1-43ee-9ace-b9b7cbbf169c/3241-Early-Help-Family-Worker.aspx To chat about this opportunity, please contact Lesley Lovell, Senior Practitioner 07826 873390.
