Would you like the opportunity to collaborate with governors, staff, pupils and parents to create an exciting new learning environment in the Upper Dales of Weardale and Teesdale?
Required for Summer Term 2021. The Governors seek to appoint a committed, experienced and enthusiastic teacher with senior management experience, to work alongside the newly appointed Executive Headteacher to lead our four small rural schools as they come together to form a new federation.

The position includes a minimum 0.6FTE teaching commitment, which will be based at St John’s Chapel Primary School in the first instance, however the successful candidate may be required to teach in other schools across the federation should the need arise. The remainder of the week will be allocated to working alongside the Executive Headteacher in a leadership and management role across the federation.
We are looking for someone who:

- has experience of leading the improvement of teaching and learning
- is a strong, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher
- has experience of working effectively with children from a wide variety of backgrounds
- has great interpersonal skills, a sense of humour, positive attitude, resilience and a 'can-do' approach
- Enjoys outdoor learning in a rural environment

In return we can offer:
- happy and excited children who take pride in their schools
- a supportive Headteacher and governors who will value your contribution to school life
- dedicated leadership time, in order to make a positive impact on the development of our newly formed Federation
- the opportunity to be part of an exciting and innovative project to secure high quality provision for the children of the Upper Dales communities

Applicants will need to provide leadership of a high quality in the academic, pastoral and management fields and be able to show evidence of the successful implementation of change.

Unfortunately, visits to the schools are unable to take place due to the current pandemic. However, Teams meetings are available to discuss the role and for prospective candidates to ask any questions they may have.
