An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Environment, Housing and Leisure Service who are looking to recruit someone with an interest in gardening and experience of working with young disadvantaged young people from a NEET background to join our award-winning Working Roots Program.

The post is a Project Supervisor who will have full responsibility of up to 4 trainees (aged between 16 – 18) for their welfare and development needs whilst working.

This important position will also help support the delivery of our Empty Homes Service ensuring properties are brought up to our Moving in Standard which includes external gardens.

The successful applicants will be motivated, take pride in their work, preferably qualified to use strimmer’s and hedge cutters along with the ability to deal with any challenges presented by the young trainees.

If successful, you will be joining a committed team of 5 other Project Supervisors covering a range of different disciplines including gardening, fencing, painting and cleaning.

In order to do this role, you will be required to attend homes anywhere in the borough,
produce work to a high quality and you will need excellent customer care skills.

You must be able to drive as the role requires you to pick up, transport and drop off trainees at agreed points.

You will have access to a van as required to carry out the role.

Previous experience in similar post in the social housing sector or equivalent is desirable.
