Further information

We require for September 2020 a teacher of MFL to join a very successful and supportive department. We offer French and German at KS4 and KS5 and introduced Spanish in September 2019 in Year 9. We therefore intend MFL to be a three subject department from KS3 to KS5 in time. An ability to teach more than one of these languages to at least KS4 would be advantageous.

The school is heavily oversubscribed, achieves very high standards and has benefited from substantial investment to improve facilities over recent years.

All staff who join the school benefit from a carefully structured programme of training and support. Any applicant should be committed to making a significant contribution to the wider life of the school.

Please find the job description, application form, application details and school information on the website ‘Vacancies’ section at: www.whitleybayhighschool.org

Completed applications and a letter (800 words maximum) explaining why your experiences to date have prepared you for this role at Whitley Bay High School, should be sent to jackie.patterson@whitleybayhighschool.org before the closing date below.

Closing date is Monday 27th January 2020 at 10.00am

Whitley Bay High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.
