Employment and Skills Adult Learning Services is a fully inclusive learning environment catering for students 16-24 years with autism, Asperger’s, ADHS and moderate learning difficulties. We are looking for two enthusiastic and outstanding level 2 practitioners to join us as Teaching Assistants.

You will be part of a professional, enthusiastic team, the role will involve supporting identified students on and 1:2:1 or 1:2:2 basis in English, Math and Personal Social Skills. Working with tutor and other staff to evaluate and adjust learning activities, as appropriate, monitoring pupils’ responses and progress against individual learning plans, through observation and planned recording. Contribute to the students Education, Health and Care plan.

The post holders will support the tutor to implement learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to students’ responses/needs. The role will involve providing positive handling for students including the management of behaviour by implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies.

The post is permanent, 25 hours per week, term time only over 195 days.
