New York Primary School provides education for pupils from ages 2 - 11 years. We are situated in the heart of the New York estate in North Shields.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to support quality teaching and learning to accelerate pupil progress and raise standards across all curriculum areas within KS1/KS2. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be flexible across all phases and have experience with children in a primary environment. A genuine love of reading would be an advantage.

The post requires knowledge of how pupils learn and how interventions can support further success. Good ICT skills are essential

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, term time only (plus some additional days) over 195 days. This post is fixed term up to 31st August 2022
