Further information

Woodlawn School is a fully inclusive school catering for pupils 2½ to 18 years with physical, medical, sensory needs and/or moderate learning difficulties.

Due to current pupil numbers and curriculum need in our Secondary department, we are looking to recruit a creative, hard-working, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher who will contribute fully in raising standards through their teaching and personal contributions.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively as part of our Secondary department, in a supportive environment. The class are working within a Primary Curriculum Framework and the teacher needs to be able to teach across all subjects. A key understanding to Early Literacy and Numeracy skills will play an essential role in the teaching of this class. This role would suit a Primary practitioner who has the skills to deliver an age appropriate curriculum.

Applications are welcomed from NQTs as well as experienced outstanding teachers who are able to demonstrate excellent teaching and have a holistic approach to education.
Please state curriculum strengths and interests in your application.

We strongly recommend visiting Woodlawn and any informal enquiries regarding the post should be directed to Nichola Aldcroft, Deputy Headteacher - telephone 0191 6432585.

Please see attached application pack and email applications to office@woodlawnschool.org.uk

Closing date for applications noon, 2nd July 2021.

Woodlawn School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.
