Located at the heart of Weardale, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Wolsingham School is approximately 15 minutes’ drive west of Durham. The school is set in extensive grounds, having benefited from a new building in April 2016.

We are seeking to appoint a flexible team-player, who is able to establish strong relationships with students to be a Cover Supervisor. You will cover lessons for absent teaching staff and carry out other duties commensurate with the role to include:

Duties will include:
• Supervision of classes of students.
• Invigilation of examinations.
• Accompanying school parties on educational visits.
• Administrative duties.
• Providing appropriate help throughout the day, including break and lunchtime monitoring and pre and post school activities as necessary.
• Acting as a First Aider following appropriate training.

Wolsingham School is one of the top schools in County Durham. In 2018, our Progress 8 score was +0.25 and 70% of our students passed English and Maths. We have exceptionally well-behaved pupils and an extensive extra-curricular programme. We are oversubscribed for Year 7 entry for September 2019. Our staff and Leadership Team are extremely supportive and we provide excellent professional development opportunities.

Essential Qualifications:
4 GCSE qualifications Grade A-C or equivalent including English and Maths.
First Aid qualification/commitment to gain within first 3 months.
